size does matter

today i picked up the mail from the mailbox as usual. i have been waiting for the admission decision from the univ of hawaii for a loooonnng time now. i knew that the committee got together for final decisions last friday and i had been counting... it's about time that the letter arrives IF they had sent it out within a couple days.

as i was going through the pile of mail, i saw only small envelops other than the standard bussiness mail. for a moment, my breath puased, until i checked all the senders' address and found none from the univ of hawaii. i am looking for a BIG FAT envelop. that's what i am waiting for!!!

so sometimes, size does matter ~ what did you expect to read for this title huh? don't get disappointed on me now, mind your own thoughts! LOL

the O of life

from the day we arrive on this planet
and blinking, step into the sun
there is more to see than can ever be seen
more to do than can ever be done

there is far too much to take in here
more to find than can ever be found
but the sun rolling high
through the sapphire sky
keeps great and small on the endless round

it's the circle of life
and it moves us all
through despair and hope
through faith and love
till we find our place
on the path unwinding
in the circle
the circle of life

recently i went to see the lion king broadway performance twice. for a while i was addicted to it, i couldn't help to put down the cd. all the spirit and energy the story holds and the artistic staging and costumes design put me in amazement. and the live singing was so alive that my spirit came out of me and danced wildly. how in the world could someone (s) think of this presentation? it's the paramount of performing art, no wonder why it is award winning.

i love the story, i love the music, and i love the african spirit. i love the chanting more than the parts in english. sometimes listening with the heart may ignite more inspiration or understanding than listening with the brain? haven't you experienced that?

hakuna matata~

first of may

well, it's been quite a while that i haven't put up any entries. here it comes, one by one, quite a bit had gone on indeed.

first thing first--the first of may was my beloved college friend's wedding. oli and mikie tied the knot for good, for the better, for the merrier. it was an impeccably beautiful and sweet wedding. love filled the air. if you didn't know what in love was, you just have to see them. it's really hard to put it in words, but in brief, you are empowered by its presence, and you carry the joyful spirit in everything you do and to everyone around you. you are not the exact same person as if you were alone, but you feel stronger to express the hidden sides of you, whereas you are more of what you already are. this is basically all i can put in words, in my own words anyways.

this was the very wedding of theirs, so was it to me. it was the first time ever i was invited to be a bridesmaid, actually, i was the maid of honor. it was a real honor and it was quite fun. thanks oli for giving me the honor, i felt really special!!!

too bad i don't really have any pictures, but when i get some good ones in my hand, i should share with ya here.
